Remembered

Red poppies had been on my mind when I decided I would try to make this painting. My plan was to only paint one, but that soon turned into three. I looked at the flowers and thought it needed something more, so I added what you see now around the edges. It was okay, but I just wasn't very happy with it. If I'm honest with you, I almost threw it out. 

I went ahead and had pictures taken of this painting, not necessarily expecting to offer it to others, but as my friend took pictures of this she said "Remembrance." I didn't think of it until later that night, but I asked her what she said with this painting and she told me that red poppies are a symbol of remembrance. It then hit me that I painted three poppies. I had no idea at the time I painted this, but this painting honors our three babies in heaven. There's a flower for Jesse, Noa, and Asher. 

It is because of what God has done through their lives that this artwork exists. Our babies in Heaven will always be remembered. If you've experienced the death of your baby/babies or a loved one, may this painting bring assurance they are remembered and may their Creator bring you peace as you wait for your reunion in the land of the living.
